“A Winning Partnership…”

These words were used by SCSHP President Natasha Nicol in announcing the selection of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Inc. (FSHP) by the SCSHP Board of Directors to provide general association management and convention planning services for SCSHP.

FSHP, established in 1947, is currently the third largest state affiliate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The FSHP Staff consists of three experienced pharmacy association management individuals: Mike McQuone, RPh, MS, CPh (Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer), Meka Bennett (Director of Educational Services and Membership Coordinator) and Pam White (Director of Accounting and Convention Services). The FSHP Staff provides support to twelve affiliated Regional Societies, five Councils and a Technician Division.

SCSHP will partner with FSHP to implement the SCSHP Strategic Goals for 2009-2010, beginning with the Second Annual Pharmacy Automation and Technology Symposium scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Embassy Suites, Columbia-Greystone, located at 200 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, S.C.
